Types of Therapy

Individual: One to one. This therapy involves only the client and the therapist. Usually one to two 50 minute sessions a week. Crisis situations might require additional sessions.

Group: This is a form of psychosocial treatment where a small group of clients meet regularly to talk, interact and discuss problems with each other and the group therapist or therapists. Clients gain insight into their own thoughts and behaviors and offer suggestions and support to others.

Marriage/Family: This type of therapy tends to view change in terms of the interaction between family members or extended family. It emphasizes family relationships as an important factor in promoting mental health. The goal of family therapy is to help family members improve communication, solve family problems, understand and handle special family situations. This type of therapy might be conducted by several therapists working together.

Therapy on the go: Therapy sessions conducted via phone and computer devices. Offered to clients that meet certain criteria and requirements.

Corporate & team retreats: Executive & staff career planning & coaching, team building and seminars.

H2O Therapy: Therapy sessions conducted in water- guided imagery, stress management, underwater therapy.

$150 per 50 minute session

Family, Couples and Group Therapy Rates

$75 per person per session

Cancellation Policy

Clients are able to cancel a session up to 48 hour in advance at no cost. Otherwise they will be billed for the full cost of the session.

Insurance

By the Sea Therapy is committed to our client’s confidentiality. Our concern lies in the required disclosure to insurance companies of mental health issues. Patient privacy is integral to our practice and such disclosures would remain on our client’s records indefinitely.
